Calvin is 3!

My baby boy turned three yesterday and I am in shock.

Thomas S. Monson said: "If you are still in the process of raising children, be aware that the tiny fingerprints that show up on almost every newly cleaned surface, the toys scattered about the house, the piles and piles of laundry to be tackled will disappear all too soon and that you will—to your surprise—miss them profoundly."

I miss them already.

Still, it's a pleasure and an honor to watch them grow, and as hard as they can seem sometimes I wouldn't trade these years for anything.

That, above, is the cake he requested, and I did make it and it turned out just as cute as it is in that photo. But someone - ahem! - played with the camera and all my photos turned out really really dark.

Except for this one, below. Which is my favorite anyway.

I will be a witness to the cake. Yours was cuter then the picture! The whole thing was perfect and just how a little three year old's birthday party should be. I'm sad about your pictures...but happy you got the one. He's my Calvin and I'm sad he's growing up too...but man is he doing a good job at being fun and cute and smart! You're doing a Good job Rach! Everybody thinks so!

What an adorable cake! Almost too cute to eat. ;-)

Bummer about the photos... I hate it when something happens during a special occasion and you don't realize until too late. :-/

It looks like he had a nice day.
