Calvin Turns Four

Calvin turned 4 on Mother's Day. We were both treated to Robert-made cinnamon rolls in the morning - hooray!

The following weekend, we had his party. A planet themed party, with a solar system cake - complete with asteroid belt ... um ... bowl. Also, I noticed my mistake with Neptune and turned it on its side later.

We hung paper stars up everywhere ...

And I made this "comet toss" game, but we didn't officially play it. A few of the boys tossed comets at it, but we didn't keep score or anything. Still, Calvin thinks it's pretty cool so maybe we'll hang it in his room ...

I can't believe how much sooner this makes both kids in school feel. Yikes!

Happy birthday Calvin! I can't believe I've never met your kids, but I do know that feeling of dread mixed with excitement about two in school (my boys were in K and 1st grade for about two months before Marley was born.) It was a strange time, but there are days (like this one!) when I REALLY miss it! Any idea of what you'll do?
